Jessica shares with us her journey in starting Forage Hawai'i, and the obstacles she endured a long the way. We dive into the importance of hunting, specifically the deer infestation in Maui, and how if the checks and balances aren't in order, then what the greater negative impact that ultimately has on not just the people, but also the rest of life on the islands. We dive into the spiritual connection and gratitude one experiences when connecting with your food before slaughter, or at the very least having an awareness of the living conditions. We tackle food science, getting back to nature, the raw milk statute we are actively trying to get passed here in Hawai'i, and much more.
